Australia Day

26th January is "Australia Day", it marks the date that Australia was first settled (ocupada) in 1788. What do you know about Australia? Try to find something original about Australia and comment it in your own words (con tus propias palabras).

    Yes.Flood is when very rain.The houses himself fill the water and the streets.(creo que lo he dicho bien, Patricia).
    I love cangaroos. Is beautiful. Good heavens,jumps.I love Australia.I want visit Australia.

    -The national animal is the cangaroo.

    -Their currency is the dólar australiano.

    -Australians drive on the right.

    -The capital is Sidney.

    Martín: Yes, anthem is "himno" in Spanish. It has a special name.

    Anyone knows who are the king and queen of Australia?

    Lucía, Inés, Christian and Fernán you all are right about the flood. It was a VERY BIG FLOOD, and a very big place was full of water (including houses).

    There are some questions remaining about Australia:

    - Who are their king and queen?
    - What's the name of their national anthem?
    - What is Australia's other name? (Australia has got a nickname -un mote-)
